Kisauni small traders received major boost after their legislature handed them stock and cash to initiate and expand their small investments.
Mbogo said the efforts are meant to alleviate the family from poor living conditions and mitigate the job scarcity problem in the constituency.
He said the constituency is being driven by such small entrepreneurs and he will create adequate space for them to strive.
Speaking while giving out the stock and cash that include cooking oil, baking flour cooler boxes among other varieties of business gears to start-ups, Mbogo said the programs will be expanded to cover the entire Kisauni constituency.
The Lawmaker said women and youth have embraced business promising them more support so that they strive in self reliance.
“We understand the scarcity of employment opportunities in our country, such self reliance programs need support,” he disclosed.
He disclosed that the initiative will be expanded so that it absorbs many youth and women into business.
The MP cautioned youth against indulging in criminal activities saying lack of employment should not be a core reason for youth to indulge in crime.
“The whole country is facing same problems, but many youth in other parts of the country are turning such challenges into money making opportunities,” revealed Mbogo.
He said the ‘Meet small-traders tour’ will be fused with small information within his constituency to instill relevant skills and knowledge to the starters so that they multiply their small investments into bigger projects that will as well absorb their colleagues.
