16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10th December, Human Rights Day.
Today as women with disabilities commemorate international day for Pwds, we continue to amplify their voices.
Research suggests that women with disabilities are more likely to experience domestic violence and emotional abuse and sexual assault than women without disabilities.
Women with disabilities also feel more isolated and unable to report the abuse or maybe dependent on the abuser for their care.
