Kwale Women representative Zuleikha Juma will distribute 40 motor cycles to youth groups across the county through National government affirmative action fund-NGAAF.
NGAAF is under County women representatives across the country.
Juma who received the motorcycles on Wednesday for distribution from a
contracted supplier said 40 youth’s groups across 20 wards in Kwale will benefit.
She said the project will directly benefit youth by ensuring through daily earning they improve their economic livelihood.
“The motorcycles belong to 40 groups who had applied through NGAAF office, under county women representative office from all the 20 wards in Kwale County,” she said.
She said the project is among others that she promised electorates during campaign especially for empowering the youths to be self reliant using NGAAF kitty.
Kwale county NGAAF Coordinator Victor Nyanje said that the BodaBoda project cost Sh 4.4 million and is expected to be distributed to beneficiary groups in three weeks time.
He encouraged groups that have applied for NGAAF to be patient since the process of approval takes time.
Zuleikha has already distributed Sh.10.4 million to women, youths and physically challenged for various economic projects across the 20 wards in Kwale.
