Mombasa based family has pleaded with the government to help them get back their son.
Salim Faris, 20 has been missing since September 8 never to be traced to date.
Addressing journalists at Haki Africa offices in Mombasa, the father Faris Saad Faraj said that he has explored all the available avenues but in vain.
He said his son who helps him in managing his transport business within Coast region went for early morning prayers at a nearby mosque in Sega within Majengo area, Mombasa never to return home.
No criminal record
“If only I would see my son, he has never been involved in any criminal activities, so I do not have any clue what transpired,” said tearful Faris.
On his part, Haki Africa Rapid response Officer Mathias Hezron Shipetta said the family is extremely worried and urged security agencies to intervene and secure Salim.
He said the trend at which disappearances cases were being reported in Mombasa and the entire Coast region was very worrying.
“We urged police to assist the family get back their kin, the family has been through a lot of agony,” revealed Mr. Shipetta.
He said Haki Africa will pursue the case to unearth where Salim is.
Shipetta said the family has been into all police stations within Mombasa but no any leads about the where about of their son.
Last year a teenage Husni Mbarak was kidnapped at Majengo area in Mombasa by armed men, locals believe the armed men were police officers.
