HAKI Africa strongly condemns the act of terror witnessed a few hours ago in Christchurch, Newzealand where terrorists opened fire at worshippers in two different mosques and killed about 40 and injured many others.
In a statement sent to the media, Hussein Khalid the executive director of Haki Africa expressed his utmost displeasure on the heinous act.
Terrorism is a global phenomenon that is perpetuated by persons of different faiths and its victims are also persons of different faiths. We must remain united in the fight against terror and ensure we stop this evil by all means.
As an organization, HAKI Africa sends condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives and calls on the New Zealand government to pursue the executors and planners of this terror act and ensure they face the full wrath of the law.
