The pre-trial hearing involving two police constables facing murder charge will begin in May 30 at Malindi high court.
Simeon Ayodo and Amos Kipsang’ are accused of shooting dead Katana Kazungu, 17, on June 26 last year at Tsangatsini village in Kaloleni, Kilifi county.
The two officers are out on Sh1 million bond each.
Witnesses accounts show Katana was ambushed while pushing a stalled truck, the truck was ferrying stones from a nearby quarry.
Postmortem report revealed Katana was shot at close range.
MUHURI pushed for autopsy
Earlier there were attempts to undermine justice as senior Police officers and local administrators wanted Kazungu buried without an autopsy conducted.

Muslims for Human Rights- MUHURI pushed for an autopsy before Kazungu’s body was be interred.
The family was assisted by MUHURI to ensure an autopsy is conducted before burial.
MUHURI handed over the case to the Independent Police Oversight Authority- IPOA for investigations which led to the arrest of the two police officers attached at Mariakani police station.
Ayodo and Kipsang’ have since been suspended pending hearing and determination of the murder case leveled against them.
MUHURI is holding brief for the deceased family.
Kazungu was a Standard Seven pupil at Ndatani Primary School at the time he was murdered.
