Human rights lobby Haki Africa has called for a quick probe over the recent killing of a woman in Bamba area in Kilifi County.
Haki Africa Rapid response Officer Mathias Shipetta said a week later after the gruesome murder of Neema George Karisa, 24, Bamba police officers are yet to net any suspect despite having various leads over the incident.
Speaking at the Organisation’s offices in Mombasa on Wednesday, Shipetta said police should swing into action and nab the prime suspect Boni Odari who is the husband to the deceased.
“According to reports from the family, the mother of one was gruesomely murdered with her own husband singled out as the prime suspect.
The two were entangled in a rift over who will remain the custodian of their child.

“The matter was discussed in a family set-up at Jilla village in Bamba, however, on their way back home after the meeting, Odari is said to have beheaded his wife killing her instantly,” said Mr. Shipetta.
According to police report, the deceased body was found lying on a pathway with the baby crying beside it.
Shipetta has appealed to Bamba police officers to pursue the husband who is on the run.
The human rights defender has also urged police to trail any other suspects in the murder incident.
