‘I fully understand that our efforts to fight graft will be met with strong resistance, corruption always fights back but we are prepared for that’
true to his words, a section of the Rift valley political leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto have accused both the Director of Public Prosecution- DPP and Director of Criminal Investigation George Kinoti alleging the two are targeting specific community in efforts to tame graft.
A statement from the DPP Noordin Hajj perhaps a clear indication that the situation will be murky, noisy and dirty but none of these obstacles will shake him.
Hajj, a Man of the people and of his own caliber has vowed to take bold move in changing the country,’s scripture of taming graft.
Kenyans lost hope long ago since none of those mandated attempted to walk the talk, however steadily Hajj is restoring high hopes to Kenyans that the fight has picked a fresh, strong and different dimension.
The recent corruption intrigues at the Treasury was a clear indication that the DPP meant business and not monkey business.
DPP Serious, fearless
He seems to be a serious and fearless Man but with Kenyans at his heart.
At one point when I met him at Lamu early this year, the Man talked tough on embezzlement of public funds that has denied Kenyans basic required services.
“Let us stand up and fight graft, we can’t let few individuals ruin our lives, we are mandated to protect and recover stolen public funds and we will do exactly that,” he revealed earlier.

He has camped abroad precisely at the United States of America, the United Kingdom among other foreign countries only to return with strong action of unearthing the 63 billion shillings Arror and Kimwarer dam scandal in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The scandal seems to be disintegrating the careers of former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his former Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge who have been charged in court and are out on bond.
The court ordered the two to distance themselves from treasury until graft cases leveled against them are heard and determined.
Labour and social protection Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattan is at the treasury on acting capacity.
Another situation is the arrest and charging of Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu over sh 584 million shillings graft scandal, the Governor is also out on sh 15 million bond after he was charged in court
All in all Noordin Hajj has taken a bold move taking the bull by its horns.
The DPP is boldly serving Kenyans by protecting their taxes which has benefited few Kenyans subjecting many others in acute poverty.
Hajj ignited fresh battle against graft that former officials mandated to nab the culprits failed to perform.
However, he needs public support for a successful battle.
