Foreign affairs Cabinet Secretary Rachel Omamo on Thursday failed to convince the National assembly on how the country is prepared to curb Corona virus in case the disease hits the country.
Omamo shocked the legislators after openly revealed that she has no clear strategy in preventing the disease.
She said the Wednesday airplane from China with 239 passengers was never a threat to the country’s health sector.
She said quarantine was done to all the passengers on board.
Over 100 Kenyan in Wuhan are still stranded with their relatives back in Kenya demanding their repatriation.
“However, some of the questions will be responded to well by my colleagues from the Health ministry,” she continuously reiterated.
The Legislators were demanding answers as to why the government has been allowing direct flight from china despite the Corona virus global health threat.
2,800 people in China have so far been killed by the deadly Corona virus.
