The government on Sunday announced two more deaths from the Covid-19 cases, raising the number of those who have died of the disease to 14.
The government has also confirmed 8 more cases, raising the number of those affected to 270.
In its daily brief on Sunday, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Mercy Mwangangi said the confirmation is from 1,330 samples tested for the past 24 hours.
She also revealed that 6 people have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital.
“We are putting more efforts from contact tracing, isolation and treatment,” noted Dr. Mwangangi.
She revealed that among the 8 confirmed cases, Mombasa led the pack with 4 cases, three are from Nairobi and one cases from Kajiado county.
The affected people are between the age 17 and 65.
“Let’s abide by all health and safety guidelines so that we do not risk contracting the disease,” she noted.
She urged Kenyans to maintain social distancing, wash their hands regularly with soap and water, sanitise their hands and mostly stay at home.
