The government has hinted on stringent measures to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in Mombasa.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe however did not disclose the type of stringent measures the government was going to impose to Mombasa residents.
On Friday, Kagwe announced an increase in the confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country
The Kenya Covid-19 curve reached 411 after the government confirmed 15 more cases.
11 cases out of the 15 are from Mombasa.
The government also announced 4 more deaths tallying the total Covid-19 deaths to 21.
According to the health CS, a total of 150 Coronavirus patients have fully recovered.
Those tested positive from the disease are aged between 2 and 79 years old.
“If it were not for the forced curfew and quarantine we would be at the projected 10,000 positive cases by now,” revealed Kagwe.
He also said female patients are recovering faster compared to male patients.
