Mombasa County health officials have dismissed claims of a Coronavirus case in the County.
Mombasa health Chief Officer Doctor Khadija Shikelly refuted claims that a Germany national is under quarantine at a hotel in Nyali.
She said there was no single case of Corona in the county warning locals against spreading such lies.
“How can one report such thing without confirming with the relevant health authorities in the county,” revealed Dr. Shikelly.
She warned such false information is causing panic and fear among locals.
On Monday, reports surfaced of a Germany national under quarantine.
According to the reports aired in the media, the Germany national who arrived into the country barely three days ago showed all signs of the Covid-19 disease.
However, Doctor Shikelly says Mombasa has never recorded any Coronavirus case.
Early February, a Southern Medical University student based in China was admitted at the Coast general referral hospital after showing Coronavirus symptoms.
According to Shikelly, Shukri Jamal Mohammed, a medical student at Guanzouh was later examined and tested negative of the Covid-19 disease.
