One of the Tanzania’s leading Newspaper Daily News owned by Media establishment Tanzania Standard Newspapers was on Tuesday forced to apologise after publishing President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s orbituary.
TSN was forced to carry an apology after it published President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s death instead of congratulatory message.
The news paper on a congratulatory message sponsored by The State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) was fused with a message mourning the death of President Samia Suluhu Hassan that shocked the country.
However, the Managing Editor owned up the mistake and apologised in the Tuesday’s Daily News Newspaper copy.
The media established admitted that it was as a result of a mix-up of the congratulatory message.
Suluhu was sworn in as Tanzania president after the death of President John Pombe Magufuli who was on his second term reign.
