Machakos Governor Dr Alfred had to come to terms after seeing his second marriage disintegrating and eventually hit a snag.
Dr Mutua was once entangled into a domestic battle that saw his first wife Josephine Thitu Maundu leaving him with all their three children through a fierce court battle that Mutua lost to Ms Maundu.
The court ordered the incumbent Machakos governor and 2022 Maendeleo Chapchap Presidential flag bearer to foot all the suit expenses.
His first marriage was ended by court in 2014.
Immediately, Mutua got married to Ms Lillian Ng’ang’a.
However, barely two months ago, Lillian said her union with Dr Mutua is no longer workable and she has decided to part ways.
Lillian said wind of change blew her way and Mutua and her will remain just friends.
“The only constant in life is change and we must be present and aware to appreciate and embrace it,” She posted on her Instagram page.
Ms Lillian continued, ” Winds of change blew my way two months ago, I decided to end my long term relationship with Dr Alfred Mutua. We had a good run and I am forever grateful to God He brought us together. We remain friends,”

She said that she has dropped the first Lady cap and that she will continue implementing her close to heart projects through the “Lillian Nganga Foundation’.
“These charity programs have formed part of who i am as a person. God’s plans are always for our good. Never doubt or question,” She posted.
Lillian has since deleted all the photos she is with Dr Mutua on her social media platform handles, however, Dr Mutua has not deleted a single photo he is with his second wife.
On June 22nd, Dr Mutua wished his wife a happy birthday with a love message.
“Happy birthday my Love, may God the Almighty give you many more years of blessings and Joy captured in your gorgeous eyes,” posted the Machakos Governor.
It seems Mutua was not aware of the strong winds of change coming his way!

However, while swallowing a humble pie, Mutua posted, “I thank God for bringing Lillian into my life and the many ways we made each other grow. We have had a laugh and at times a tear but all in all we have been a power couple and very happy. We celebrate life and are pleased that we have reached this decision in a mature agreeable manner,”
