Joho criticised for ignoring Mombasa talents

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is on the receiving end for ignoring Mombasa’s local talents.

Recently, Joho accorded a warm welcome to Maria actors, an action that did not go down well with Mombasa talented actors and actresses.

They angrily took to social media expressing their disappointment with the manner in which Joho is handling the issue.

They said the governor ignored very talented actors among them Fahamu Kazungu famously known as Nyanya Rukia who even brought the DSTV award to Mombasa County.

Maria actors a local TV drama that airs on Citizen TV during weekdays were recently on a meet-fans tour in Mombasa and Kilifi Counties.

They include Yasmin Said (Maria), Brian Ogana (Luwi), Bridget Shigadi (Sofia), and Dennis Musyoka (Boss William) among many other actors and actresses.

Maria TV drama has become Kenya’s favorite local series with many Kenyans glued to Citizen TV from 7:30 pm to 8: 00 pm.

Citizen TV Swahili News anchor Lulu Hassan and her husband who is also her co-anchor Rashid Abdallah are behind the scripting and production of the local captivating Maria program.

The program explains how human beings can become evils because of wealth.
