Legendary broadcaster Mohammed Juma Njuguna takes final bow

Legendary, renowned, cheerful broadcaster and radio host Mohammed Juma Njuguna has taken the final bow before the Lord.

Njuguna succumbed at a Nairobi hospital Saturday morning.

He has been battling long illness.

Njuguna joined the Royal Media Service as a Sports commentator and he immediately initiated the English premier league sports commentary which many radio stations has picked, grown and practised to date.

He worked with Royal Media Service for over 20 years and climbed the ladder to be the Content producer of the organisation in 2016 a position he held throughout until his death.

Njuguna worked at KBC

Njuguna worked at the National broadcaster KBC and had a witty in sports broadcasting and commentating.

At RMS he hosted ‘Habari za waandishi’ a news programs that aired at Radio citizen every week day at 7: 30 pm where on ground news reporters filed their news reports across the country.

He had over 40 years experience in the radio broadcast and would cheer any ear across the country.

He was a friend to bigwig among them retired President Daniel Arap Moi, Retired President Mwai Kibaki who awarded Njuguna the Head of State Commendation-HSC award for his outstanding journalism career, President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga among other big names in the political circle.
