Radio personality famously known as ‘Finger Works DJ’ Peter Adamz takes over the drive show dubbed ‘The Rush Hour’.
Adamz worked for KBC owned Coast based radio station Pwani FM about a decade ago before he joined Radio Maisha.
He later left radio broadcast.
Adamz resurfaced on MO Radio over the weekend where is struggling to recruit fans.
MO Radio is yet to establish it’s news room where it is expected to poach from various news rooms within the Coast region.
Unlike nowadays where radio broadcast has been taken over by DJ’s and celebrities, a newsroom cannot be manned by such characters but trained and qualified journalists.
Media regulator the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) recently launched strict measures in ensuring only quality content is broadcasted.
The Coast region is witnessing a serious battle for audience following a surge of regional radio stations, leave alone the national and international radio station that also broadcast in the Coast region.
MO Radio is associated with Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali.
The station broadcasts on 88.2 FM frequency that was once owned by young Coast based investor Maurice Mbetsa under Boss Radio.
The two owners were once entangled in a battle for the frequency.
The battle according to Mr. Mbetsa is yet to be resolved.
