Radio kaya presenter Beatrice Dama Kahindi tied the knot in a glamorous wedding held over the weekend at a Diani hotel at the South Coast.
Dama a renowned Radio presenter who together with her Comedian Kalambua have become the Coast household in their famous Mijikenda breakfast show ‘Voroni enehu’ (Good morning brothers ad sisters) that airs every day at the top Coast radio station said ‘I do’ to the love of her life Mr. Victor Caleb on Saturday.
It was a highly ‘invited only’ guest glamorous wedding held at an expensive Diani hotel, Sonrisa resort.
The event was graced by family, relatives, friends, dignitaries, and workmates.
No gate crashers
No gatecrashers as all those who attended the wedding were of the working class.
Dama, has worked at Radio Kaya for over 9 years and has remained the top radio presenter at the coast region.
Coast Mijikenda peace ambassador
She was recently named the Coast Mijikenda Peace ambassador for her radio peace messages and call for peace and unity especially during the 2017 general elections and its October presidential rerun.
A honour that was handed to her by the Mau Mau Council of elders Chair Gitu wa Kahengeri last year.
Queen of hando
The Radio queen who also present Mijikenda news bulletin at the station with a pure native Giryama accent was also named the Radio kaya queen of Hando (A Mijikenda old cultural attire) for her cultural segments within the most listened breakfast show.
She has been the ‘Most wanted’ radio presenter by other regional and national radio stations but she has never gave in to the ongoing media poaching tactics and has remained faithful to her employer.

A dedicated tireless radio presenter she is, Dama famously known as ‘Tausi wa Radio kaya’ has also pushed for environmental protection by planting trees in various primary schools in Kwale and Kilifi counties.
