Renowned top radio personality Sister Shanniez has finally been awarded her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Mgeni Shaban famously known as Sister Shanniez has been pursuing her degree course in Journalism and Mass Communication at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM).
The Msenangu FM Mid-morning youthful show ‘Takeover’ Presenter said upgrading her education was the only option following the ever evolving media industry.
“Though you need to be creative and innovative for you to remain relevant in the industry, documents are very critical in journalism and any other career,” she said with a broad smile.
Sister Shanniez, also known as Anti-virus moved to Msenangu FM barely two years ago where she has been commanding a great number of the youthful audience across the Coast region.
She is an experienced radio presenter who sharpened her radio broadcast career at Radio Kaya, an independent Mijikenda station that she served for a decade hosting Kaya Flavaz, a youthful mid-morning entertainment show.
She ditched the station for Mediamax Limited owned Msenangu FM, where she has been doing the same, entertaining, informing and educating the youthful generation on a range of topics.
The multi-talented, young, hardworking radio presenter is also known for laying the facts bare on music production always urging artists to strive in quality production and always remain focused.

Hate her or love her, the top Coast radio personality with over 12 years experience has hugely contributed in the growth of Coastal entertainment industry.
Other journalists who also graduated during the Thursday TUM virtually graduation ceremony are Patrick Mwavula who works at the Mombasa Governor’s Office Communication office and Freelance journalists Thureya Terryanne Mwadzaya among others.
