Radio Salaam presenter will say ‘I do’ to his love of life on Saturday.
Rashid Ramadhan, famously known as ‘Mjomba Rashid’ on air is set to take the vows at Swafat mosque before he is officially handed his love Khadija Twalib.
The radio presenter at the Islamic based station Radio Salaam has kept his records safe while practicing journalism at the Coast for almost a decade.
He started his journey at another Islamic based radio station Radio Rahma as a news and features reporter before he jumped off the wagon to Radio Salaam.
At Radio Salaam, Mjomba Rashid gathered and filed news stories to his editors, he has manned the sports desk, hosted religious leaders in both controversial and religious debates and has been anchoring the station’s news bulletin ‘Mpasho wa Radio Salaam’
He is a producer and currently hosts the ‘Utepe drive’ the station’s evening show.
“The time has come for me to step into a fresh journey in my life. I thank God for the blessings,” said the humble Ramadhan.
The experienced Radio personality has had a fair share of struggles in his journalism career that never tumbled him.

However due to the current situation many of his friends and colleagues in the media fraternity will be left out of the celebration as only 30 people will be allowed to grace the occasion.
Some of his close friends and work mates sent him congratulatory messages on his wedding day.
His work mates and close ally Salim Zani said,
‘You are about to fulfil half of the religious requirement, all the best on your big day Mjomba Rashid’
Another former workmate Hajj Salim Kibwanga, a young renowned top sports presenter in the Coastal radio broadcast sector who ditched the station for Sauti ya Pwani FM posted,
‘May the blessings of Allah shower your marriage, you have been a brother to me and a close confidant you remain, happy marriage life brother’
