Standard Group owned top radio station Spice FM was forced to swallow a bitter pill and apologise to its vast audience following a phone call conversation that propagated lies.
According to the Situation room presenters led by Eric Latiff, a parent from Kisumu claimed that there were 4 deaths of students triggered by Covid-19.
The audience further claimed that one of the students was his child.
However, after thorough investigation, the station management learnt that the person was neither a parent nor related to any student in the said school and that the information given was a fabrication.
The Standard Group has since apologised over the matter.
