KBC TV Coast based senior reporter Juney Karisa on Saturday walked down the aisle with her love of life Patrick Mwavula.

Juney is former tourism and world life Minister the late Karisa Maitha’s daughter.

She has been reporting for the national broadcaster for the last five years venturing into gender, social, human rights and health issues from various parts of the Coast region.

Mr. Mwavula is a senior Communication officer at the Mombasa County governor’s office.

The love birds who have been dating for the last four years surprised their colleagues barely a week ago after breaking the news of their planned wedding.

They took wedding vows at the Tononoka Methodist church, Mombasa in a highly invited only wedding.

Relatives, friends and colleagues both from the Mombasa County government and the media industry graced the occasion.

A warm reception was conducted at the Bahari Gates gardens restaurant in Mtwapa, Kilifi County.

The new couple also held a traditional wedding on Friday night where they were taken through traditional rituals and were blessed by Giryama elders before Mr. Mwavula was handed his love.

The two lovebirds kept their records both at work and social life highly private affair until barely a week ago when the Coast based media fraternity learnt of the wedding.

“I wish Patrick and Juney a happy marriage life full of Allah (God) blessings” posted The Mombasa County acting Communication director Mr. Mudathir Abdulkareem.

“Happy and blessed life our young lovely couple,” noted KBC Channel 1 Coast Bureau Chief Ms Ann Mburu.

“Today is the bright planned day the Lord joined Patrick and Juney to become one flesh and blood. May the blessings of the lord cover your life,” said Radio Salaam renowned senior presenter and one of the best men during the Wedding Mr. Solomon Zully.

The newly weds are heading to undisclosed location for their honeymoon.
