Tatu City has announced the lucky winner of its Fly Me Home raffle.

The 5,000-acre new city on Nairobi’s doorstep held a draw on 1st July where a Kisii born and currently living in Wichita, Kansas, in the United States, Bonface Onyambu was selected as the winner of two round-trip tickets to visit his family in Kenya.

On receiving the good news, Boniface expressed his joy and said he was really humbled to be the winner of the Fly Me Home raffle.

“I have never won anything in my life, so this is truly an amazing experience for me,” added Boniface.

A registered nurse living and working in Wichita, Bonface moved to the United States to study in 2013. “I haven’t been home since then,” he said.

Bonface and his wife, who is also Kenyan, started their family in the United States. “We have started planning our trip home so my children can meet their grandmother for the first time, and I can see my family for the first time in almost 10 years.”

Tatu City has indicated its profound pride in supporting the Kenyan diaspora and its critical role in the country’s economic development. The controlled neighbourhoods of Tatu City have long attracted diaspora members looking for a serene, secure and rapidly appreciating real estate investment back home in Kenya.

Located just 30 minutes from Central Nairobi, Tatu City has two schools – Crawford International and Nova Pioneer – which educate more than 3,000 students daily, thousands of apartments and single-dwelling homes in Kijani Ridge, the city’s premier residential neighbourhood. Roast by Carnivore, a restaurant by Tamarind Group, the country’s leading hospitality operator, opened in November 2021 at the entrance to Tatu City.

Kenya’s first operational Special Economic Zone, Tatu City, has welcomed more than 70 companies to its business-friendly location, including Dormans, Copia, Cooper K-Brands, Maxxam, Twiga Foods, and Freight Forwarders Solutions, Friendship Group, Davis & Shirtliff and KWAL.
