Youth in Mombasa have been urged to take up the task of informing the community about Coronavirus.
Youth activist Mohammed Hussein said the community highly depends on the youth for the much needed information on the deadly disease.
Speaking at Majengo in Mombasa, Mr. Hussein well known as Amadoh says the right and factual information to the community will help many locals prevent themselves from the disease.
He said many youth understand more on what’s going in the country concerning the disease and that they should spread the same information to their own community.
Apart from having the right information, Mr. Hussein argues that youth mostly use the social media platforms and that they can apply such knowledge in imparting adequate knowledge on Covid-19 to the public.
“Let’s use our social media and other digital platforms in imparting the right knowledge about Coronavirus to the community,” he said.
He said Majengo youth have partnered with Mvita Member of Parliament Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir in mounting posters and billboards in residential areas within Mvita constituency so as to enable locals understand what Covid-19 is and how to prevent it.

“This is a communal responsibility, so that we are not badly affected by the disease we should act,” he said.
Hussein has further appealed to the county and National government to join their efforts in taming Coronavirus in Mombasa county.
He said if the government support the youth in the fight against Covid-19, they will get the synergy to safeguard their own community.
Hussein sentiments come as Covid-19 figures in the country hit 208 on Monday.
