China Southern Airlines has suspended its flight into Kenya following corona virus scare.
High court in Nairobi on Friday barred any flight from China into the country following a public outcry that the government was hugely risking on the lives of Kenyan.
Justice James Makau also barred Transport Cabinet Secretary his foreign affairs counterpart and the Kenya Airways Authority (KAA) against allowing any passenger from China into the country.
The ruling follows a case that was filed before the court by the law society of Kenya.
Makau said the case was of public interest and the grounds raised by LSK were weighty and of public concerns.
Meanwhile President Uhuru Kenyatta has constituted an emergency committee to oversee on how the Covid-19 virus can be prevented into the country.
The committee comprises of various departments among them the Health, Transport, Defense, and the Office of the president among others.
Kenyans have for the last 24 hours condemned the government after it allowed direct flight from China.
The airplane has a total of 239 passengers and who the court ordered all to be traced and taken to KDF medical centre for a 14 day quarantine exercise.
