Two Police officers accused of murdering 17 year old boy on Thursday denied the charges.
The two Police constable Amos Kiptoo Kipsang and Simeon Oyoo Ayodo denied killing Kazungu katana, a class seven pupil at Ndatani primary school in Kaloleni Kilifi County.
They appeared before Malindi high court judge Weldon Korir.
The two will be remanded at Malindi prison until 11th of March this year when the case will be back in court.
The prosecution did not oppose their release on bail application.
The court will give its ruling on the application on March 11th.
Korir also allowed Muslims for human rights to hold brief for Kazungu’s family.
Muslims for human rights MUHURI documented adequate evidence and handed the same to the Independent Police Oversight Authority –IPOA which also conducted a seven months independent inquiry.

MUHURI and IPOA pushed for the arrest of the two police officers.
The Ndatani Primary school class 7 pupil met his death when he joined his colleagues to push a stuck lorry which was ferrying stones from nearby quarry.
The two officers who were attached at Mariakani police station were trailing the truck and shot recklessly killing innocent Kazungu.
MUHURI Chairman Khelef Khalifa said that the officers misused their firearms by killing an innocent school boy.
The two officers were suspended pending investigations.
The incident happened on the 26th of June 2018.
