Detectives have taken over probe on the mysterious death of renowned scholar and author Ken Walibora Waliaula.
Walibora’s lifeless body was found at the Kenyatta National Hospital morgue last week.
Earlier reports indicated that the renowned Swahili witty author was knocked down by a matatu but the tale has taken a new twist.
According to a postmortem conducted on his body Mr. Walibora famously known for his ‘Siku njema’ novel was stabbed by a sharp object on his right arm.
His attackers did not still anything from him when they downed on him along Landhies road in Nairobi.
Pathologists have ruled out any knock down, revelations that have opened a new twist on what or who actually killed him.
In a rare post, one Catherine Ndonye is accusing the Kenyatta National Hospital for spending 18 hours without checking on the desperate situation Walibora was in.
“Kenya National Hospital should also explain as to why they did not give the much needed attention to the helpless Walibora,” posted Ms. Ndonye.
The hospital management has remained mum over the matter.
Walibora was only registered as unknown male adult when he was taken to the emergency section of the hospital be he succumbed to injuries.
He is said to have sustained serious injuries and his face completely disfigured.
News of the death of the renowned Swahili author shocked Kenyans, most of who have read his books or did them in high school examinations.
‘Siku njema’ published in 1996 and which was recently translated to ‘Good day’ remains an interesting read to many.
