Former Matuga MP passes on

Former Matuga Member of Parliament Suleiman Kamole is dead.

Kamole led Matuga constituency only for a single term between 1997 and 2002 when he was floored by Chirau Ali Mwakwere.

Kamole was a vocal Matuga Member of Parliament who took over from Juma Boy Juma.

Kamole was a renowned banker and the immediate former chair Coast development Authority board-CDA. He passed on at around 4 pm Monday.

The course of his death is yet to be revealed by his family members who on Monday evening were in a series of meetings and are expected to release the an official statement on his burial.

Matuga constituency has been led by a vocal trade unionist Juma Boy before being inherited by his son the late Boy Juma Boy and later Suleiman Kamole, the leadership trickled down to Chirau Ali Mwakwere and now Kassim Sawa Tandaza.

Kamole may be laid to rest on Christmas day.
