Four suspected criminals were on Tuesday night lynched by locals in Mombasa.
The suspects raided Amani area in Liwatoni within Ganjoni on motorbikes.
When they were asked about their mission by one of the local guards, they stubbed him on the stomach badly injuring him.
His colleagues raised alarm calling for help where locals responded killing the suspects one by one.
Police recovered various weapons including machetes and pangas.
Police also recovered one motorbike that was used by the suspects.
The injured local guard is receiving urgent treatment at the Coast General Referral Hospital.
The four bodies have been taken to Coast General Referral Hospital.
Police are investigating the incident.
