The National government has announced vacancies for administration officers to be deployed in Nyali constituency, Mombasa.
This is after a youth cry over discrimination in various government programs among them the ‘Kazi mtaani’initiative.
Recently youth in Kadzandani Ward within the Constituency decried discrimination in various government opportunities following lack of administration officers in the area.
Led by Kadzandani Creative Director Omar Chai, the youth said their problem would only be solved by deployment of administration Officer.
According to Chai, the projects including Community health volunteers program did not benefit the youth.
“It is through such sidelining that we staged a peaceful demonstration, and we we do the same our our grievances are ignored,” reiterated Mr Chai.
He said the program are meant to uplift the living standards of the youth and Kadzandani youth are no different.
However, the vacancies announced are only for Sub chiefs and not Chiefs.
The four vacancies are for Mbungoni, Freere Town, Mlaleo and Mwatamba sub locations within Freere Town Division.
“This is not our expectation. We need Chiefs, Sub Chiefs and Ward administrator in our Ward,” said the youth activist.
The youth said they will raise the demands until they get the required response from Mombasa county Commissioner.
The deadline for submission of all application for the positio
