Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) are detaining four Chinese nationals who are alleged to have assaulted a Kenyan employee.
In a video that surfaced on social media on Saturday, an Asian is seen ruthlessly canning an employee of Chez Wou restaurant based in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.
The man is seen rudely laughing and evening pausing as he mercilessly whips the employee for allegedly reporting to work late.
According to the DCI, the man canning the Kenyan employee has been identified as Deng Hailan.
The DCI said Deng together with other 3 Chinese nationals will be deported immediately after processing of their documents is complete.
“We have received this information with deep shock, this is unacceptable and we are taking decisive action,” noted DCI George Kinoti.
Others arrested were Chang Yueping, Qu Qiang and a woman Yu Ling who their visas and work permits have also expired.
“None of them has valid work permit or visas allowing them to operate business in the country,” noted Kinoti.

Already Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i has ordered the deportation of the 4 Chinese nationals.
The information circulated fast on social media with Kenyans cursing the foreigner for canning a Kenyan.
However on Sunday morning, Kenyans were celebrating on social media after the arrest of the four who worked at the Chez Wou restaurant located at Kileleshwa in Nairobi.
The four are awaiting deportation.
