Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has appealed to Kenyans to channel their money to more important things after President Uhuru Kenyatta banned taking of alcohol in eateries.
In his Daily presser on Covid-19 on Wednesday Kagwe those used to taking kagwe special should channel the money to other constructive things.
“Those used to alcohol need to then God for the ban,” he told Kenyans.
On Monday, President Uhuru ordered all bars to be closed until further notice, adding that those that don’t adhere will have their licences permanently revoked.
On Wednesday, the country recorded 544 new Coronavirus positive cases raising the curve to 19,125.
A total of 5,259 samples were validated.
113 patients have recovered raising the total of recoveries to 8,021.
However, 12 more patients died of the virus totalling the corona virus deaths to 311.
