Kenya Covid-19 curve rise to 355

The government has confirmed 12 more Covid-19 cases on Sunday raising the total number of Coronavirus cases in the country to 355.

Eight of the confirmed cases are from Nairobi while four from Mombasa.

Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman said the 12 cases were confirmed after 500 samples were analysed on Saturday.

“In Nairobi, Kibera registered two cases, Karen had 1 case, Dandora 1, Eastleigh 1, South B registered one case, Kasarani 1 and Umoja 1,” said Mr. Aman.

In Mombasa, Mvita constituency recorded 2 cases one in Kuze and the other one in Bondeni while two of the cases were registered in Barsheba and Mishomoroni in Kisauni constituency.

Travel history

Out of the 12 people, three had a travel record where they recently visited Somali.

All are aged between 14 and 60 years old.

The number of fatalities as a result of the deadly Coronavirus remains 14.

The government on Sunday also confirmed eight more recoveries raising the total of recoveries to 106 of the Covid-19 patients.
