Intoxicated TV show host was on Thursday arraigned before Kwale law courts
KTN’s Point Blank talk show host Tony Gachoka on Wednesday caused disturbance at the Ukunda airstrip in Kwale county after he forced his way into Silverstone aircraft while carrying alcohol drinks.
Gachoka was completely drunk when he refused to be screened at the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) premises at Diani.
The commotion ensued at around 11 am Wednesday forcing Diani police officers to arrest Gachoka and they detained him for a whole Wednesday night.
He was arraigned before Principal magistrate Joe Omido where he pleaded not guilty.
His lawyer Raphael Chimera told the court that Gachoka was an International public figure and he appealed to the court to let him continue with his work.
“Gachoka hosts a show that has over 4.5 million audiences across the country,” he pleaded with the court.
The case will be mentioned on October 25.
