

A Police officer working at Kenya Ports Authority on Saturday morning shot himself dead.
The 37-year-old officer had worked at the KPA for 14 years.
His body has been taken at the Jocham Hospital morgue.
KPA OCPD Patrick Labolia said the incident occurred at around 4:45 am inside a toilet.
The deceased was on a night shift at Gate 18.
“Investigations led by the DCIO has commenced to establish the motive behind the death,” said Mr. Labolia.
“We believe it was a suicide,” he added
Labolia spoke at the port police station on Saturday.
He said after he was handed an AK-47 the deceased used one bullet on himself.
Rights group Muslims for Human Rights-MUHURI Rapid response Officer Francis Auma visited the scene.
He stressed out on psycho-social support to the police.
“Police well-being is paramount,” noted Mr. Auma.
MUHURI called for speedy investigation into the death.
