Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho will address Mombasa residents in a live broadcast on Friday.
The live broadcast is to be aired in all the Coast regional radio stations.
Joho was recently recognised by the national government following his tireless efforts in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
Joho is expected to discuss in-depth his track record since the pandemic hit the country in mid March this year.
The Mombasa Governor is also expected to project to the public his next plans in containing the ever rising Covid-19 cases in Mombasa.
Live on radio
The live broadcast to be aired from undisclosed location will be broadcast live on Radio Kaya, Radio Rahma, Pwani FM, Baraka FM, Radio Salaam, Sauti ya Pwani FM and Bahari FM.
The one live broadcast is said to hit the airwaves from 8 o’clock to 9 am in the morning.
Among the issues the governor is expected to highlight are the progresses in combating Covid-19 in the county, the ongoing mass testing, challenges facing Likoni ferry channel safety and health measures, public awareness on the Covid-19.
Mombasa residents are expecting the Mombasa county Chief to deliberate about the uncertainty surrounding relief food distribution in the county.

This is after complaints from locals over an irritating video that resurfaced on social media of a woman criticising Joho for not giving her ‘proper’ iftar dinner.
The governor is yet to talk about the issues.
Mombasa residents have commended Joho for his efforts while some calling on disbandment of various committees in charge of relief food distribution on discrimination grounds.
Recently, the governor launched second modern isolation centre at the technical University of Mombasa (TUM).
