SwahiliPot- Hub Patron Mahmoud Noor will Chair the Humanitarian organisation Kenya Red Cross Society Mombasa branch board for the next three years.
During the elections held at KRCS Mombasa branch Koblenz hall, Mr. Noor was elected by majority to chair the board and effectively advance the branch issues and development aspects for the the next three years.
Mr. Johnson Gachanja was elected as the Deputy chair in what was termed as a free, fair and just election exercise which was headed by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission-IEBC Officers.
Mr. Nagib Omar was elected as the Treasurer of the organisation.
Zakia Mohamed, Iftakhar Majid, Amar Bawazir, Assad, Wallid Tamimi also secured positions as the Branch Committee members.
Mr. Mohammed Bahero was elected as the youth’s Chairman.
In his acceptance speech, the youth mentor and social worker appreciated the previous Chair Mr. Shamsheer Mawji and all the leaders for the selfless, dedicated, tireless efforts in ensuring the branch activities were smoothly executed.
He said it was a big honor for the team to have strong faith in him and that together with other leaders, staff and volunteers he will embrace open leadership and unity in serving the branch and the community.
“Serving the community is my pride and KRCS being a renowned humanitarian aid am honoured to serve the community through this particular organisation,” said Mr. Noor.
He also expressed gratitude to the youth who have been practicing selfless volunteerism and who embraced social activities for the benefit of the community.
“I have matters revolving the youthful generation at the bottom of my heart let all nurture and help our young generation embrace volunteerism and coexistence among themselves,” noted Mr. Noor.

The new KRCS Mombasa branch Chairperson has a lot in his plate including tackling youth challenges in the county, spearheading social and humanitarian activities ensure the realization of the new modern Mombasa Branch KRCS offices, recruiting more members to the humanitarian organisation among many other vast responsibilities.
Meanwhile, the KRCS Mombasa branch Coordinator Mr. Rajab Mohammed Said extended his congratulations to all winners elected in various categories.
He also appreciated their predecessors and appealed for transparent, selflessness and hardwork among the new leaders so that they properly serve the community.
