Lamu Senator Anuwar Loitiptip is mourning his father.

The Senator’s father, David Kiwaka was a retired police officer and also served as Momonyot Ward councillor in Laikipia County.

Deputy President William Ruto mourned the late Kiwaka, saying he was a selfless, progressive man who moulded a generation of gifted leaders.

“Kiwaka was a cause-driven and proudly served the police service and Momonyot Ward residents with dedication,” he said in a statement.

The Lamu Senator said he will badly miss his father who remains a pillar in his political journey.

“I thank God for the precious time he has allowed us to live with him,” he said.
