Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip has mourned young and vibrant youth leader, activist and businessman Emannuel Waweru famously known as Hossana.
Hossana met his death at Hindi area along the Lamu-Witu-Garsen road on Friday.
He had gone to the area to conduct his business activities and was selling cosmetics to her clients.
However, while on his way to Mpeketoni area on a motorcycle, he was hit and killed on the spot by a canter that was transporting milk to Mpeketoni area.
Anwar said Waweru was a promising young leader and a vibrant young investor.
“I have learnt with great shock the death of Emmanuel Waweru. I wish to pass my sincere condolences to the family and friends, on my own behalf, my family and the great people of Lamu County. We know these are tough times for them, but we share the grief,” said Mr Loitiptip.
The Senator said the young promising man he mostly interacted with is among those who have been pushing for youthful leadership in Lamu county.
“He was a hardworking young man striving to be self-reliant and was a true mentor to his peers,” added the Senator.

The Senate Devolution and intergovernmental relations committee Vice-Chairperson appealed for increased vigilance for motorists operating in various roads and highways in Lamu county to avert accidents.
Waweru’s body has been taken to Mpeketoni Subcounty hospital morgue as police launch investigations.
