Father to Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip has been shot and brutally injured in an incident suspected to have been committed by Doldol police station in Laikipia County .
He has been rushed to Nanyuki Cottage (hospital) for emergency medical attention.
The motive of the shooting that occurred on Sunday evening remains a puzzle.
The Senator has assured his Lamu dwellers and close friends that he will update them over the matter.
