A man was on Thursday arraigned before Mombasa high court facing murder charges.
Joseph Muturi allegedly brutally murdered his wife Beatrice Wamboi at Mishomoroni area in Kisauni, Mombasa on September 5th.
However, Muturi denied the charged before high court judge Njoki Mwangi.
On September 13, pathologists at Mombasa County Level 5 Teaching and Referral Hospital revealed Wamboi succumbed to a deep throat stab that extended to rapture her heart.
There were signs of resistance, her head bashed, and internal injury marks registered, the postmortem report showed.
Wamboi died aged 29.
Muturi and Wamboi lived a troubled life until the September 5 tragedy.
The deceased family reported the incident to Muslims for Human Rights, MUHURI, who facilitated the autopsy.
The human rights lobby further reached out to cops for a speedy probe on the murder case.
The court has remanded Muturi at Shimo la Tewa Maximum Security Prison, with the mention set on October 17, 2019.
