A man believed to be between the age of 18-35 has committed suicide by jumping from the 10th Floor of Imaara building in Mombasa.
The man according to the Officer in charge of disaster management in Mombasa county Swaleh Mwamlevi intended to take away his own life considering that he did not carry any identifications with him.
According to Mwamlevi the Wednesday evening incident shocked many who gathered to try and establish what could have triggered the young man to kill himself.
“Unfortunately at the moment, none of us has information about the young man, but police have launched investigations.
Police could not immediately establish whether the man has visited any office at the building adjacent to the Pandya memorial hospital in Mombasa.
Police are investigating the circumstances under which pushed the man to commit suicide.
His body has been take to the Coast General Referral and Teaching hospital morgue, in Mombasa.
