Mombasa port Managing director Daniel Manduku has been arrested.
Manduku was arrested in Nairobi Monday afternoon.
However, the Director of Criminal Investigations DCI George Kinoti says the arrest has nothing to do with the already existing 2.9 billion shillings scandal at the port.
Manduku who is on a sh. 500,000 anticipatory bail was interrogated by detectives over fresh corruption allegations.
Manduku is facing illegal issuance of a sh. 500 million tender for construction of goods shade at Makongeni, he is also facing another scandal of concrete barrier construction worth 1.4 billion shillings and revitalization of Kisumu port a tender that cost sh. 800 million.
Last year, Manduku got a sh. 500 thousand anticipatory bail to block his arrest over the 2.9 billion shillings port scandal.
