As Mombasa County criminal gang insurgency sends local into panicking mode, Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi has ordered for a stern action against the gangs.
Matiangi said the sad state of affairs witnessed in Kisauni must be immediately addressed.
Matiangi said Kisauni has been in the police radar for too long and it is time police swing into action and tame the disturbing situation.
According to the interior CS police should do everything possible to ensure Kisauni is habitable for all.
“I urge all security and administration to ensure Kisauni is calm,” he reiterated.
Matiangi called for a proper investigation and arrest if all gang members giving locals sleepless nights.
“Most of these gangs recruit minors, what kind of generation are we raising?” he posed.
The Kisauni situation has drawn the attention of Inspector general of police Hillary Mutyambai who says he will personally go down to Mombasa to asses the situation.
Both Matiangi and Mutyambai are scheduled to visit Kisauni on Sunday to meet with top security bosses in the county as well address locals living in the affected Kisauni Sub-County.
