The burial controversies of the late Kibera Member of Parliament Ken Okoth hastened after a second family emerged on Tuesday.
The woman with a five year old boy insists that together with her son they should be recognised before the burial of the MP.
The woman who hails from Tetu in Nyeri County has worked at Agha Khan Hospital in Nairobi as a nurse before clinching Jubilee nominations in the 2017 general elections.
Sources reveal that the MP loved the boy and the two are is well known and loved by the late Okoth’s parents and the entire family.
However, Okoth’s wife, a European is said to have opposed any recognition of the second family.
Never sired children
The two have never sired any biological child but they adopted three children.
The saga adds more controversies to ealready conflict between the Luo Community elders and Okoth family on whether Okoth remains should be cremated of buried.
On Tuesday, ODM Leader raila Odinga who led a family meeting emerged saying Okoth burial will be handled as that of a late veteran politician Kenneth Matiba, adding more confusion to the circle
