The newly appointed ICT Chief Administrative Secretary Nadia Ahmed Abdallah has reached out to the youth to embrace community service and hard work.
Ms Nadia who was officially sworn in by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday at the Mombasa Statehouse alongside other nominees said though it took time the Coast youth story was slowly changing.
She said some youth are no longer interested in community service, volunteerism and creativity despite being the better way of finding their destination.
Nadia who received a warm reception at the Swahilipot Hub a technology and art centre based in Mombasa where she has been an active member dedicated herself to community service and creativity challenged her peers to pursue with zeal their goals.
“You all have valid dreams but somewhere in the middle you loose hope and lag behind, that should not be the case,” reiterated the ICT CAS.
She urged Coastal youth to tirelessly strive to change the script and strive to change their lives for good.
On his part, Swahilipot Hub Patron Mahmoud Noor urged Ms Nadia to serve the country diligently and always strive towards changing the lives of the youth countrywide.

“I know what Nadia is capable of, she has been with us at Swahilipot Hub and her actions, tireless efforts have transformed the community,” he noted.
Mr. Noor appealed to the Coastal youth to live their dreams in life no matter what challenges crosses their way.
According to Noor, Mombasa youth despite being talented they lacked the support, guidance and mentorship urging them to closely work with Swahilipot Hub so that they learn from their peers who have reaped big from volunteerism, guidance and community service.
On her part, Mombasa gender Director Esther Ingolo, challenged the Coastal youth to seek the necessary support and assistance from the county so that they attain their goals.
She termed Nadia’s appointment as a living dream that has made the Coastal youth proud.
“This is a living testimony I have been waiting for so long, to the youth in Mombasa never relent in following your passion, nothing can obstruct you from achieving your dreams,” she said.
Nadia is expected to officially start her new role as ICT Chief Administrative Secretary on Monday next week.
