Jubilee Nominated Senator Victor Prengei is dead.
Prengei died in a road accident along Kabarak-Nakuru road on Monday night.
His demise was confirmed by Senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka.
He was Deputy President William Ruto’s ally and confidant.
Prengei was among six senators who faced Jubilee disciplinary committee earlier this year and narrowly escaped the Jubilee axe.
He was among the youthful senators in the upper house.
The youthful senators circle includes Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip, his Makueni counterpart Mutula Kilonzo Junior among others.
Lusaka eulogised the late Senator.
Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip eulogised Prengei saying his demise is a big loss to the upper house and the community he served.
“So sad to Loose a Friend, Colleague and Confidant..The Last Four Years We’ve Worked together in the Senate have Known you as Humble, Energetic, Jovial and Outspoken Individual who was kind and had Love for his people, the Ogiek community..Indeed life is too Short,May your soul rest in Peace till we meet Again.

Nominated Senator Milicent Omanga also mourned Prengei.
She posted, on her twitter handle,
“Rest well my colleague and friend Victor Prengei, Nominated Senator. We shall forever cherish your tireless efforts in fighting for and protecting rights of the minority communities in our Nation. We have lost a great leader. My condolences to your family, friends and the entire Ogiek community,” Omanga said in a Twitter post.
