A mother of 6 who has been ailing at Shanzu in Kisauni, Mombasa has received overwhelming support from well wishers.
OrphanAid Kenya official Rafik Rauf visited Nzingo Karisa Katana, 45 at her Shanzu home and offered to provide free milk for her 2 months old baby.
The almost immediate reaction and offers come after a highlight of the plights of the on Jambo News Network online news platform.
The story about the ailing woman received almost immediate response where well-wishers offered to help the woman in despair.
Mr. Rauf, who is also the Kenya Red Cross Society Mombasa branch board member a a volunteer, offered to provide the baby with free milk until after winning period.
“This story touched my heart, I will ensure the woman gets help,” Mr. Rauf said.
Meanwhile ‘Corrugated Sheets Company’ has offered Nzingo the necessary medication.
The company has offered Nzingo treatment at Al-farouk hospital in Mombasa and will cater for all the medical expenses.

On its part human rights organisation Haki Africa has offered to assist the mother of 6 to fully recovery.
Haki Africa Deputy Executive Director Salma Hemed said the woman need assistance to regain her health.
Salma said they will closely follow up on the matter until the woman recovers and is able to cater for her children.
“After recovery, we will discuss with her on how she can sustain her family,” noted the gender and children’s rights activist.
Mombasa county health department has also taken up the health needs of Nzingo.
The woman is divorced and has no tangible source of livelihood.
