ODM party is blaming supporters of Independent candidate Feisal Abdallah Salim claiming they are using public resources to campaign him.
ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna urged residents to vote for Omar Boga so that the party retains the seat.
Sifuna said those using public resources are well known and urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission-IEBC to stop such violation of the election laws.
Kwale Senator Issah Juma boy said Feisal supporters among them Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya and his Deputy Fatuma Achani are openly using public resources to campaign for Feisal.
“We have the report which we will hand over to IEBC for action,” said Boy.
However, he did not mention the type or amount of resources purported to be used for the alleged campaigns.
The ODM top brass has camped at Msambweni to drum support for ODM candidate Omar Boga.
However, Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya rubbished the claims saying Feisal supporters are conducting their campaigns while fully abiding by the IEBC laws and regulations.
He further cautioned those flocking Kwale County for the Msambweni by-election campaigns to embrace peace.
“Conduct your campaigns slowly do not cause unnecessary tensions by raising such baseless claims,” noted Mr. Mvurya.
Mvurya’s sentiments were echoed by Lungalunga Legislature Khatib Abdallah Mwashetani who rubbished the claims saying none of Feisal support is pegged on public resources.

Mwashetani said Feisal faction has been conducting decent campaign in wooing votes.
“Msambweni residents understand that Feisal is their right choice and no one else,” said Mr. Mwashetani.
He appealed to Msambweni residents to make a wise choice of ensuring Feisal sails into leadership.
He said by voting in Feisal, locals will be assured of swift transformation of the county development agenda.
“Msambweni already has a 5 year work plan. Feisal will fully implement all the pending projects initiated by the late Suleiman Dori,” reiterated Mwashetani.
Msambweni Parliamentary seat has attracted a total of 9 contestants among them Independent candidate Sharlet Mariam Akinyi, National Vision Party candidate Marere wa Mwachai, Wiper Democratic Party candidate Shee Abdulrahman among others.
Msambweni Parliamentary seat fell vacant after the death of MP Suleiman Dori.
He was an ODM MP.
