Big wigs in the political arena have camped in Msambweni Constituency, Kwale County to support their own for the forthcoming by-election.
However, Deputy President William Ruto’s team seems to be doing everything possible to flatten the Msambweni ODM curve.
Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar Sarai has urged Msambweni residents to floor any ODM candidate vying for the Parliamentary seat.
Sarai said Raila should be shown dust in the by-election so that Msambweni residents get fresh leadership.
He said neither Msambweni nor the country is a private property and Kenyans should change their way of choosing leaders.
“This battle is bigger than just Msambweni by-election, we should all be ready for a fresh start by crippling ODM,” said Sarai.
According to the former Mombasa Senator, the country needs new breed of leaders and fresh beginning adding that Msambweni should signal the oncoming changes.
“We are tired of party politics even an independent candidate can sail through provided he serves people with dignity,” noted Sarai.
Ruto’s team is backing an Independent candidate Feisal Dori, a close relative to the former Msambweni Legislature the late Suleiman Dori.
Despite Jubilee’s verdict of pulling out of the Msambweni by-election race, Ruto seems to break the ties drumming support for Dori.

Ruto said he was not contented with Jubilee’s verdict of not fielding a candidate in the by-election.
He said he was of a different opinion that the party should have placed a contestant.
“Since the ruling party is not fielding any candidate for the Msambweni by-election, am at liberty to support any candidate of my choice,” noted the DP.
Ruto’s team comprises of Lunga Lunga Legislature Khatib Abdallah Mwashetani, his Malindi counterpart Aisha Jumwa, Kilifi North MP Owen Baya and Nyali’s Lawmaker Mohammed Ali are on a mission to dismantle Raila’s strongholds.
Sarai reiterated that they will do everything possible to ensure ODM does not retain Msambweni Parliamentary seat.
The seat fell vacant after the demise of the MP Suleiman Dori.
The battle has attracted a total of 10 contestants.
